About Us

Tropez Health was founded to address the intersection of homelessness, mental illness, and substance use through an integrated, evidence-based model.
Recognizing the urgent need for solutions that integrate specialized housing and behavioral healthcare, we developed a sustainable, housing first approach for individuals facing complex challenges. By prioritizing stability, harm reduction, and long-term recovery, we work to break cycles of homelessness and recidivism while reducing reliance on emergency services, law enforcement, and hospitalizations. Our work is led by Dr. Brian Fuchs, MD, MPH, MBA, a crisis psychiatrist, Harvard Medical School graduate, and former McKinsey consultant, whose leadership anchors a team with deep expertise in mental health and substance use treatment, supportive housing services, community-based care, and re-entry coordination.
We maintain a 24-hour, 7-day-a-week on-call system to ensure that residents have uninterrupted access to compassionate, clinically informed support at any time, day or night. This is not an add-on to our service model. It is a core pillar of our approach, grounded in our firsthand experience leading and delivering care in some of the most acute, high-risk environments in New York, including psychiatric emergency departments and psychiatric housing units within correctional facilities.
In these settings, we’ve learned that psychiatric crises do not follow a nine-to-five schedule, and that the window to intervene effectively and prevent escalation is often narrow. We bring that same urgency and clinical discipline to our supportive housing model, understanding that the individuals we serve are emerging from high-stress, often traumatic systems. What may appear to be a minor disruption to an outside observer, such as a triggering interaction or perceived slight, can rapidly escalate into a situation that jeopardizes housing stability, safety, and recovery. Our around-the-clock system is designed to meet people at their most vulnerable moments with immediate, compassionate, and clinically informed care.
